RUBY DRAGON CRYSTALS ~ OFFERING YOU THE BEST OF MOTHER EARTH!

Five of Swords Tarot Reading

This week’s tarot card is the 5 of Swords from the Psychic Tarot for the Heart oracle deck by John Holland. Swords are about the mind, intellect, ego, air and wind. They are sharp and often cut both ways.

The picture shows a beautiful sword pushed so far into the ground that only the hilt and a small portion of the blade are showing. The hilt appears to be made from bronze with leather wrapped in a crisscross pattern. Just below the grip, a beautiful red ruby heart is embedded in the crosspiece. This sword is double edged. The sword is buried halfway into the earth and is surrounded by green grass. The medium blue sky has pinkish clouds that are lit by the setting sun. The Title of the card is Win or Lose.

Someone has driven this sword into the ground. The number 5 is about change….good or bad. Five can be unstable or flexible. When we see the number 5 and the sword combined, it can often mean trouble. Change, instability, a clash of wills or egos all can be a part of the 5 of swords. However, this card is telling us that it does not need to be all one way. Sometimes when there are strong disagreements, the desire of one or both sides is to win at all costs. Egos get involved and the logic that swords represent goes out the window. This card suggests that if we face our differences and work from a place of love, we can have a win-win situation. If not, we may win the battle but lose the war.
~
If you are facing an intellectual battle at this time, try to incorporate the message of this card. Remember to come from a place of caring and wanting the other side to feel that the outcome was arrived at in a fair manner. Work on the change by burying the sword….and not in the other person’s back! Take the higher ground of honesty and fairness and you will both win.
